This journal issue aims to publish research studies which commence with obtaining irradiance values for PV and proceed through the entire modelling chain to assess grid impact. Contributions addressing all or any single step of this sequence are welcome, but we wish to focus on the use of Geographical Information Systems to support this task. Case studies from any part of the world are invited, for any size of area. Authors may analyse utility-scale, commercial or domestic solar systems, and temporal as well as spatial variation in electrical output. Prediction modelling of future photovoltaic scenarios may also be included.
