Comprising earth-abundant elements and with the potential to be printed from solution, organic materials offer many exciting possibilities in the development of next generation PV, and may be particularly suited to BIPV, flexible PV and low-light applications.

On 16 February 2022, SuperSolar hosted a webinar with researchers in the field showcasing thier latest work. Chaired by Prof Neil Robertson of the University of Edinburgh, the event speakers were:

Dr Marina Freitag (Newcastle University) “Next Generation Zombie Solar Cells”

Dr Yue Hu (Huazhong University of Science and Technology) “Efficient and stable printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells and systems”

Dr Ulrich Paetzold (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) “Passivation Strategies for Perovskite-Based Tandem Photovoltaics”

Professor Iain McCulloch (University of Oxford)“Organic Semiconductor Heterojunction Blend Nanoparticles for Photochemical Hydrogen Generation”
